Great website! Good job keeping the calendar up to date. This is a great club, everyone is quite friendly, the food is great, and the entertainment is like nowhere else!! I like the fact that no smoking is permitted during dinner hours now.

Dear friends of the Austrian Donau Club, I am truly vey impressed about the 'history' site of your web page and would like to congratulate those who put it together. By getting an insight of the past hardships and challenges our ancestors encountered either for political, religious, economical or just 'pioneering' towards new shores, and keeping and nourishing the traditions of old on their path and in their memories, to be passed on and shared...this is all 'wunderbar'! Only a few words about my self; I'm a Donauschwabe born near Temesvar/Banat/Romania, migrated due to Family reunification to Munich/Germany and then come over to Perth W. Australia, where I have been since 1990. I'm wondering wether anyone would know more of Donauschwaben either from Hungary - my wife's from Nuyiregyhaza-, and or Donauschwaben from around (Romania, Danubian Svabes - Donauschwaben): Guttenbrunn, Temesvar, Reschitza, Detta, Morawitz...related family names are: Michelbach, Mergl, Luckhaup, s***, Doerner... Some of my ancestors migrated to Canada, Milwaukee, Connecticut...but we unfortunately lost their traces, as I run away from then comunist Romania. I would greatly appreciate of anyone who might know of above family names to get in touch with me...other than that, I'm a licensed Realtor, passionately selling houses in Perth. I'd also like to hear from realtors from CT. What's the market like there? my e mail adress is: abc88@people.net.au Many thanks. Peter Michelbach
